This is an 8 year old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, added to the distillery's core range. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky is a vatting of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, with a small share of virgin oak casks and red wine barriques. That mix gives it a sherry-matured character.
It is usually described as rich in heather honey and butterscotch, balanced by sweet spices and a touch of ginger.
