GlenAllachie – 8 Years Virgin Oak (70cl, 48%)

This is an 8 year old single malt from GlenAllachie, released as part of the third batch in its Virgin Oak series. It is a limited release, bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then given a further maturation of about 18 months in Scottish oak casks. These were made from Sessile oak (Quercus petraea) grown on the west coast of Scotland. The release comes from Billy Walker and the team at GlenAllachie.
