This is a nine-year-old Speyside single malt from The GlenAllachie, part of its Wood Finish Series. After its main maturation it was finished in red wine casks from Portugal's Douro Valley. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers red berries, plums, honey, vanilla and spice. The palate is fruity and spicy, with dark berries, grapes, honey, oak and fine tannins. The finish is medium to long, with fruit, dry oak and spicy wine-cask notes.
