GlenAllachie 9 Years Oloroso Cask Finish is a Speyside single malt from the Wood Collection, a limited edition bottled at 48% ABV. It matured first in American oak ex-bourbon casks and was then finished in Oloroso sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
On the nose come heather honey, mocha and dried apricot, with cinnamon butter, red velvet cake and marzipan. The palate brings dark chocolate, honeycomb and butterscotch, followed by dried red berries, ginger and damsons. The finish is spicy and dry, with a touch of cocoa.
