This GlenAllachie single malt comes from the distillery's Wine Cask Series, created by Master Blender Billy Walker. The spirit was first matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then moved to hand-selected European wine barriques for a second maturation. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, and the label carries the years 2012 to 2022.
Four wine cask finishes were blended into a single expression, the Cuvée Wine Cask Finish.
The nose is of orange blossom, espresso, maraschino cherry and honeysuckle. The palate brings dark chocolate, red berries and roasted coffee beans, with ginger and liquorice in the finish.
