GlenAllachie – Future Edition 4 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 60.2%)

This is a 4 year old single malt from GlenAllachie, and the final bottling in The Past, Present and Future Series, marking Master Distiller Billy Walker's fifty years in the whisky industry. It is the distillery's first peated release, made with mainland peat, and the first distillate produced under Billy Walker's ownership. Fermentation ran for 160 hours. The spirit was matured in former rye and bourbon barrels along with some virgin oak casks, and bottled at a natural cask strength of 60.2%, with no added colour and no chill filtration. Only 10,000 bottles were released worldwide. It is described as smoky yet sweet, with cinnamon apples and smouldering oak.
