This is an 8 year old GlenAllachie single malt bottled at 48% ABV. It matured first in new American oak casks, then received a finish in quarter casks, small 125 litre casks that previously held rye whiskey from the Koval distillery in Chicago.
It is described as rich and sweet, with rye, fresh spices, honey, shortbread, cinnamon, nutmeg and herbs.
