A five-year-old peated single malt from the GlenAllachie distillery in Speyside, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. Meikle Tòir is Gaelic for 'big pursuit'.
The whisky was aged in virgin Chinquapin oak barrels sourced from the Northern Ozark region of Missouri. The peating level is 35 PPM, and the barley was kilned with mainland peat from St. Fergus, which gives a sweeter style of smoke. Fermentation ran for 160 hours.
It is described as having robust sweet spices and toasted nuts alongside the peat smoke.
