A six-year-old single cask Speyside malt from GlenAllachie, distilled in June 2019 and bottled in 2026. It matured in a Pedro Ximénez hogshead, cask 8719, and was filled into 347 bottles.
This is a smoky expression, peated to 47 PPM, and was put together under Billy Walker. It moves away from the soft character usually associated with Speyside.
The nose offers maraschino cherries, honeycomb and roasted hazelnuts, with blood orange and dark molasses. The palate brings strong mocha, glazed cherries and sugar beet syrup, with shortbread and smoky nuts. The finish is long and oily, with cinnamon and dried dark fruit.
