Meikle Tòir The Sherry One is a peated Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. Meikle Tòir is the distillery's dedicated peated project.
The peat comes from a bog at St Fergus, on the mainland, which is higher in phenols than most. Fermentation runs for 160 hours.
Peat levels are measured in the spirit rather than in the malted barley, a method devised by AnCnoc distillery. This bottling is rated at 35 ppm in the spirit.
