GlenAllachie – Meikle Tòir The Original (70cl)

The Original is the classic expression in the Meikle Tòir range from GlenAllachie, a peated single malt from Speyside. The peat comes from the Scottish mainland at St. Fergus and tastes sweeter than coastal peat. Meikle Tòir means 'great endeavour'. Billy Walker and his team began this seasonal peated production in 2018, making about 100,000 litres of alcohol a year over roughly six weeks. Fermentation runs for 160 hours, almost three times the industry average, and gives a fruity, ester-rich spirit.
