GlenAllachie Sinteis Part 4 is a 10 year old Speyside single malt, distilled in 2015 and bottled at a cask strength of 58.5%. It is the fourth chapter in the Sinteis series created by Billy Walker, and it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky first matured separately in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, then the two were combined and finished in virgin Mongolian oak, Quercus mongolica. Sinteis is Scottish Gaelic for synthesis.
The nose brings fresh pastry and butterscotch, then brandied fruit and dark cocoa. On the palate there are candied hazelnuts, baking spices, plum syrup and baked orange.
