Part 4 of GlenAllachie's Sinteis Series, this Speyside single malt explores different oak types alongside the distillery's spirit. It was distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2026 as a limited edition, at 58.5% cask strength in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and at natural colour. The whisky was matured in Mongolian virgin oak together with Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. The nose has dark cherries, raisins, dates, heather honey and treacle, with dark chocolate and orange peel. The palate brings fig syrup, chocolate-covered raisins and caramelised orange, with toasted spice and vanilla from the oak. The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate, dried fruit and a gently drying spiciness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
