Glendalough – 7 Year Old Single Malt Mizunara Finish (70cl, 45%)

This is a seven-year-old Irish single malt from Glendalough, finished in Mizunara oak and bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery's team searched for the most flavourful oak and found it in Hokkaido, in the volcanic north of Japan. The nose is fruity and floral. On the palate it is smooth, with dark chocolate orange, sandalwood and cinnamon, flavours associated with Mizunara whiskeys. The finish is long, with toasted oak and oriental spices, and the dark chocolate lingers longest.
