Glendalough Double Barrel Irish Whiskey

Glendalough Double Barrel is an Irish whiskey from Glendalough Distillery, matured in two stages. It spends its first period in American bourbon barrels and is then finished in Oloroso sherry casks. The bourbon barrels bring vanilla, honey and caramel, while the Oloroso finish adds richer fruit, nutty notes and extra spice. The palate is smooth and rounded, with vanilla and sweet fruit moving into dried fruit, spice and toasted wood. The finish is warming and balanced, with lingering sweetness and sherry-cask richness.
