Glendalough Double Barrel Single Grain Irish Whiskey (42%)

A single grain Irish whiskey from Glendalough, bottled at 42% ABV. It matured first in ex-bourbon casks and then received a finish in Oloroso sherry casks from Montilla in Spain, so it draws on both American and Spanish oak. The bourbon casks are associated with honey, vanilla and light grain, while the Oloroso casks add dried fruit, nuts, spice and oak. The result is a fruity, spicy whiskey on a soft grain base.
