Glendalough Madeira Blended Irish Whiskey (42%)

A blended Irish whiskey from Glendalough, bottled at 42% ABV in 2020 as part of the Single Cask Madeira series. It matured in Madeira casks, which bring the influence of a sweet wine cask to the blend. Madeira casks are associated with wood, fruit, nuttiness, gentle acidity and sweet spice, shaped by the warmth and sea air of the wine's ageing. Here they sit alongside grain, dried fruit, oak and spice, with a lively Madeira sweetness.
