Glendalough – Madeira Cask Finish Single Cask

Glendalough Madeira Cask Finish is a single cask Irish whiskey from a brand inspired by the Wicklow Mountains. It was first matured in American oak and then given additional maturation in Portuguese Madeira wine casks. The American oak is described as adding vanilla sweetness, caramel and delicate woody notes, while the Madeira casks bring dried fruits, raisins, orange peel and a subtle nutty quality. Together they give a balance of sweetness, fruit and warming oak spice.
