Glendalough – Peated Pot Still (46%)

An Irish pot still whiskey from Glendalough, bottled at 46% ABV and made with peat. Peated pot still whiskeys are uncommon, which sets this release apart. The peat smoke is balanced by vanilla, caramel and toffee. Cinnamon and nutmeg come from the Wicklow wood in which the whiskey is matured, adding a fragrant, woodland character. The finish is oily and peppery, in keeping with traditional pot still production.
