Glendalough – Pot Still Irish Whiskey Batch 2 Cask 6

Glendalough Pot Still Irish Whiskey is a limited release from the Glendalough Distillery in Wicklow. This bottle comes from Cask No. 6 in Batch 2 and is numbered 376. The whiskey was matured in virgin Irish oak, and each cask in the series is traced to a single numbered tree. Here it is Tree No. 1, so the bottle can be followed back to the exact oak used for the cask. The nose is honeyed, with vanilla, sweet spice, toasted oak and orchard fruits. The palate is creamy and full-bodied, with sweet malt, caramel, ripe pear and clove. The finish is long and spicy, with oak tannins.
