Glendalough – Single Grain Double Barrel Irish Whiskey (70cl, 42%)

Glendalough Double Barrel is an Irish single grain whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 42% ABV. It is first matured in flame-charred ex-bourbon American oak, then finished in Oloroso casks sourced from Montilla in Spain. The nose is rich with dark fruit, cherry, raisin, fig and Christmas pudding, alongside floral notes of lemongrass, citrus and a touch of nutmeg. The palate is sweet and smooth, with butterscotch, honey, peppercorn, dried fruit, maraschino cherries and brown sugar. The finish brings ginger spice, a little almond and an earthy note.
