A ten-year-old GlenDronach bottled at 48% as the 2016 Julemalt, a Christmas edition made for Danish retailers.
The whisky is a bright amber-gold in the glass. The nose is of warm fruitcake with melted dark chocolate and freshly ground coffee, along with a spicy note of cedar.
On the palate come barley, pear, leather, orange peel and vanilla, with a warming touch of white pepper. The finish is juicy and long.
