This is the twelfth batch of GlenDronach Cask Strength, a 10 year old single malt bottled at 58.2% ABV without filtration. It was matured in both Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks made of Spanish oak.
For each Cask Strength release, the distillery's master blender chooses the balance between these two cask types.
A drop or two of water brings out mocha, dark chocolate and caramel, along with cherry cake and plums.
