GlenDronach – Peated

The GlenDronach Peated is a Highland single malt distilled from peated malted barley, which is unusual for the distillery. It nods to the peat once used to dry malted barley on the floor maltings in the distillery's early days, and sits alongside rich sherry notes from the wood. The colour is vivid harvest gold. The nose has ripe gooseberries with cinnamon sugar, crisp citrus, charred wood, ground barley and vanilla toffee. On the palate are oak spices, heather honey, rosehips, barley sugar and white pepper, with gentle peat adding a dry depth like campfire embers.
