Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva is a Speyside single malt from the distillery at Dufftown, bottled at 40% ABV. Malt Master Brian Kinsman hand selects casks from two decades of maturation in traditional oak, and these are then finished in Caribbean reserva rum casks, which add tropical warmth and spice.
The nose is intense and vanilla sweet, with floral notes, banana, figs, toffee, new leather and oak. The palate starts soft, then turns brisk and drying, with pepper, a touch of smoke, lime, ginger and spice. The finish is very long, warming, dry and spicy.
