Glenkinchie 12 Year Old is a Lowland single malt and the flagship expression of the Glenkinchie distillery, in a 75cl bottle. It shows the light, grassy character associated with the region, with hints of cooked fruit and Sauternes wine, and is suggested as an aperitif.
The nose is light and aromatic, with barley malt, almonds, hazelnuts and manuka honey. The palate is very fruity, with stewed fruits, dessert wine, apple peels and honey, turning oaky late on. The finish is medium in length, with barley and freshly mown grass.
