Glenlivet Founders Reserve is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky with no age statement, bottled at 40% in a 1.75-litre bottle.
It is matured in a mix of traditional oak casks and first-fill American oak casks, which have not held whisky before. That first-fill oak gives the malt a creamy sweetness.
The nose brings blood orange, citrus zest, maple sugar and baking spice. On the palate come honey, ripe pear and caramel apple, with creamy vanilla. The finish is medium in length, with toffee, honey and gentle oak.
