Glenrothes 15 Year is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It sits in the distillery's core range.
The spirit is made from 100% Scottish barley malted in Saladin boxes and distilled in copper pot stills that replicate the 1879 originals, with an unusually large boiling ball. The distillery also keeps its own cooperage on site.
Dried fruit and citrus peel lead the nose, with vanilla, baking spice and a nutty note of hazelnut praline. The palate is honeyed, with baked orchard fruit, peach, candied orange peel and warm spice. The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate and soft leather.
