Godawan Single Malt Series 01 Rich & Rounded (70cl, 46%)

Godawan Series 01 Rich & Rounded is the flagship single malt from Diageo India's Alwar distillery in Rajasthan, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is made from locally grown six-row barley and matured in the heat of the Rajasthan desert. The malt is matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, then finished in casks seasoned with the traditional Indian botanicals Rasna and Jatamansi. It is bottled without chill-filtration. The nose offers figs, raisins and honeyed sultanas. The palate is buttery, with dark chocolate, espresso and warm spices such as cardamom, and the finish is long, with malty biscuits and caramel.
