Gold Bar Bitcoin Satoshi Reserve is a limited-edition rye made to honour the creator of Bitcoin. It was distilled at MGP in Indiana from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, aged over 14 years, and finished in French oak wine barrels from Napa and Sonoma.
Only 999 bottles were filled, each numbered by hand and drawn from one of five selected barrels at cask strength, between 115 and 123 proof. It comes in a gold bar-shaped 750ml bottle with a Bitcoin-themed coin set into it.
The nose offers rye spice, dark cherry, mint and caramel. The palate is full-bodied with cinnamon, dark fruit, oak and red wine tannin, and the finish is long and warming with spice, dried fruit and toasted grain.
