This is a 12 year old single malt from Hakushu, a Japanese distillery owned by Suntory, the founders of Japan's first distillery, Yamazaki. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The original Hakushu distillery was built in 1973. A second distillery building, Hakushu Higashi, was added in 1981.
It is a long-standing favourite among people exploring Japanese whisky.
