Hakushu 18 Year Old is a Japanese whisky distilled at Suntory's Hakushu distillery, which sits in the heart of a forest at the foot of Mount Kaikoma. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent eighteen years maturing in the cool climate of the mountains.
The nose is described as ripe pear and apple with dry grass, wood and a light smokiness. The palate is rich and supple, with white fruit, honey, vanilla and wood. The finish is long and woody, with discreet smoke and green tea.
