Hakushu 18 Year Old is a Japanese single malt from Suntory's mountain forest distillery, set around Mt. Kaikomagatake. The distillery is known for a profile of crispness, gentle smokiness and herbal notes.
The nose offers ripe pear, dried mint and oregano with a hint of smoke. The palate brings jasmine, mango, quince and menthol. The finish is long and pleasantly smoky, with a hint of bitterness.
