Hakushu 18 Year Old comes from the Mountain Forest Distillery in the Southern Japan Alps. It is matured in a variety of casks, including American oak, sherry and mizunara.
The nose offers ripe pear, dried mint and oregano. On the palate come jasmine, mango and quince. The finish is long, with pleasant smokiness and a subtle bitterness.
