Hakushu Distiller's Reserve is a Japanese single malt from Hakushu Distillery, in a 70cl bottle with the older style of packaging. The distillery was established in 1973 in the foothills of Mt. Kaikomagatake, in Japan's Southern Alps.
Both lightly peated and heavily peated malts were used, giving the smoky, herbaceous character associated with Hakushu whiskies.
It is described as smooth, with complex nuances, and as vibrant as a fresh green leaf.
