A heavily peated single malt from the Hakushu distillery, released in 2010/2011 and bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It was made to show the effect of peat in a Japanese whisky. The nose is smoky, with fresh herbal notes and a hint of citrus. On the palate, intense peat smoke meets sweet vanilla, with green apple, pear and a touch of spice underneath. The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke and subtle oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
