Hakushu Story of the Distillery 2024 Edition is a Japanese single malt made from smoky Hakushu malt whiskies matured exclusively in bourbon barrels. This limited edition has a green bottle and a label depicting the renovated distillery, which was established in 1973.
The whisky combines light sweetness with smoke. Pineapple, vanilla cream and roasted green tea appear on the nose, followed by a soft palate with fine Japanese sugar sweetness and slight bitterness. The finish leaves ember smoke and a gently bitter edge.
