Harris 8 Years Old The Pride of the Hebrides (49.8%)

This is an 8-year-old single malt from the Isle of Harris Distillery in Tarbert, on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. Thompson Bros. bottled it in their Pride of the Hebrides series. The spirit is gently peated and was matured in first fill bourbon barrels, which are American oak casks that have held bourbon once before. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 49.8% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration. Thompson Bros. describe it as fresh and coastal, delicate and light-footed, with a gentle waft of peat smoke and a soft, malt-led sweetness from the barrels.
