Hatozaki 5 Year Old Sakura Cask Finish is a Japanese blended malt from Kaikyo Distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is the 6th edition of the Omakase Collection, a series devoted to blended malts.
This is a limited edition. The whisky is matured in Mizunara oak casks and carries a Sakura cask finish. It is not smoky, is chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is fruity and floral, and the palate is soft, with a gentle sweetness and light spice. The finish is rounded, leaving a faint trace of sweet, floral flavours.
