Headframe Dispatch Cinnamon Rye (75cl, 45.5%)

Dispatch Cinnamon Rye is a spiced rye whiskey from Headframe Spirits in Butte, Montana, bottled at 45.5% ABV. It uses a blend of 7- and 9-year-old 100% rye whiskeys aged in used Neversweat Straight Bourbon barrels. The aged rye is infused with real cinnamon, red pepper flakes, allspice and clove. Headframe distils by continuous flow, and its name nods to the headframe above a mine shaft, a reference to Butte's mining past. The nose is warm baking spice with cinnamon in front and a dry, herbal rye note. The palate is cinnamon, peppery rye, allspice and clove. The finish is a light, dry heat that fades slowly.
