Evan Williams is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. This bottling is 43% ABV and comes in a 75cl bottle.
It is made from a mash bill of at least 51% corn and matured in new, charred oak containers, as the bourbon designation requires.
The nose brings caramel, vanilla bean and a hint of dried orange peel over gentle oak spice. On the palate it is smooth and medium-bodied, with sweet corn, brown sugar and baking spice, notably cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is clean and medium in length, with lingering warmth, toasted oak and a whisper of rye.
