Hell-Cat Maggie is a blended Irish whiskey from Cooley Distillery in County Louth, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It combines column-distilled grain whiskey made from corn with copper pot still malt whiskey made from malted barley, both produced at Cooley. It won a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The nose has light orchard fruit, honey, cinnamon and caramel over gentle oak. The palate is warm and lightly sweet, with butter biscuit, light jam, graham wafer, hazelnut and almond. The finish is light and slightly sharp, with toasted grain, hazelnut, a trace of cinnamon and dry oak.
