The Tyrconnell 10 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish is an Irish single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle, without chill filtration. It was made at Cooley Distillery from Irish malted barley, unpeated and distilled twice in pot stills. The whisky spent 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels, then 6 to 8 months in Oloroso sherry casks.
On the nose are sherry-soaked raisins, apricot, plum, toasted nuts and honey, with vanilla and baking spice. The palate is syrupy and sweet-leaning, with honeyed malt, dried fruit and crème brûlée. The finish is medium to long, with pepper and sweet oak.
