The Tyrconnell Irish Whiskey is the brand's flagship single malt, bottled without an age statement at 43% in a 75cl bottle. It is made at Cooley Distillery in County Louth from 100% Irish malted barley, unpeated.
The spirit is double distilled in pot stills and matured in ex-bourbon barrels, with no wine-cask finish. Before the 2017 rebrand it was bottled at 40%.
On the nose it offers vanilla, Granny Smith apple, honey and citrus, including lemon zest and orange pith. The palate is fresh and malty, with nougat, toasted hazelnut and sweet barley, leading to a clean, medium, lightly grainy finish.
