Hibiki Blossom Harmony Limited Edition 2022 (70cl, 43%)

Hibiki Blossom Harmony is a limited edition Japanese blended whisky from Suntory, bottled in 2022 at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It combines whiskies finished in sakura wood casks with malt and grain whiskies matured over many seasons. The sakura cask was one that had long intrigued Shinji Fukuyo, the fifth generation Chief Blender at Suntory. The colour is amber. The nose is floral, with sakura, sweet almond and fragrant olive. The palate is smooth, with acacia honey, French pear and a sweetness reminiscent of sakura mochi, followed by a long, rich finish.
