The box has 24 facets, one for each of the 24 seasons of the traditional Japanese calendar. Its design includes flowers, flowing water known as Ryusuimon, and pine trees, motifs linked with good fortune and prosperity.
The edition marks the Lunar New Year, a time associated with prosperity, unity and the promise of a vibrant year ahead.
