High West – A Midwinter Night's Dram Act 14 (75cl)

A Midwinter Night's Dram Act 14 is part of High West's annual seasonal series, a blend of straight rye whiskeys finished in ruby and tawny port barrels. The distillery is based in Utah, and the release is made in limited quantities each autumn. The blend pairs a rye whiskey sourced from MGP in Indiana, made from 95% rye and 5% malted barley, with High West's own distilled rye, made from 80% rye and 20% malted rye. It is never chill-filtered. High West describes a base of vanilla, caramel and cinnamon from the rye, with plum, dried fruit and spice from the port barrels, and mulling spices that recall a holiday plum pudding.
