High West High Country is an American single malt, distilled and blended by High West in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah and bottled at 44% in a 75cl bottle. It takes its name from the Wasatch mountains around Park City.
It is made in copper pot stills and distilled on the grain, so the grain stays in during fermentation and distillation. Maturation uses both freshly charred and second-use oak barrels.
The result is described as having a heavier mouthfeel, a roasted malt character and balanced complexity.
