High West Rendezvous Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Utah, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle. The name draws on the rendezvous gatherings of 19th-century mountain men in the American West. It is a blend of straight rye whiskies matured by High West. The blend typically combines a 95% rye, 5% malted barley whiskey with an 80% rye, 20% malted rye whiskey, each aged between four and nine years. It is bottled without chill filtration. The nose has cinnamon, clove, dried fruit and caramel, with pine, orange peel and vanilla. The palate brings toffee, baked apple, rye spice and pepper, with herbal notes, mint and oak. The finish is long and dry, with dark chocolate, spice and orange zest.
