Highland Park – 12 Years Old (70cl)

Highland Park 12 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from Scotland's most northerly distillery, on the Orkney Islands, in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was established in 1798 and this is a cornerstone of its core range. A significant proportion of the spirit is matured in sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks. The nose is heather honey with a wisp of peat smoke and citrus zest. On the palate, sweet malt and dried fruit, notably raisins and sultanas, meet gentle nuttiness and light spice before heathery smoke. The finish is long, with sweet smoke, a touch of spice and a faint maritime saltiness.
